Flash Fiction – Right

The word is right. The word limit is 100.

“One, two, three, green light!” Charlie bellowed to his three friends playing the game with him on the front lawn.

“Red light!” he yelled seconds later.

Timmy had one leg raised and toppled over.

Charlie pointed to him, “You’re out!”

Ginny and Scott were left in the game and getting closer to Charlie. They were frozen in their spots.

“Green light!”

They rushed him and Scott reached him first.

“Wait a minute, wait a minute, I had a frog in my throat,” Charlie pleaded.

“Scott’s right, he wins!” Timmy shouted, determined to win next time.
